BUT the holder base and their efforts defines how far the meme goes
This is why you see sometimes a meme top at 100k and see 3 weeks later going to millions

People think others are about to sell → they sell first → price drops → everyone else gets scared → they sell → suddenly the thing everyone was afraid of becomes reality. Even whales are part of the game. A whale owns 5% and everyone starts worrying he might dump. People sell because they think the whale will sell. The whale sees people selling because they think he’ll sell and now thinks maybe he should actually sell. The dude didn't even have to dump to move the market 😂 This is also why lore and community matter way more than people realize. A good meme gives thousands of strangers something to coordinate around. Now holding isn't only about number going up. People are making content, building reputation, making friends, competing, having fun and becoming part of the joke. The stronger that shared belief becomes, the stronger the coordination can become. And I think that's really what separates some of the biggest memes from the thousands that die. Memecoins aren't just speculation. They're coordination games played in public, with money attached.
