## @HHorsley (Hunter Horsley) · 09-28 06:37 · ♥64 ↻6 💬11 The US dollar is incredibly popular. And stablecoins make it more accessible.

But US equities are even more popular than the dollar.

Which is one of the many reasons tokenization is going to be huge. > 引用 @KobeissiLetter: Non-US investors own more US stocks than ever:

Investors from outside the US held $24.32 trillion of US equities in July, the 3rd-largest amount in history.

Year-to-date, foreign holdings of US equities have surged +$2.22 trillion, or +10%.

Since the 2022 bear market, this figure has soared +$12.3 trillion, or +103%.

As a result, foreign allocation to US equities jumped to a record 60% of their US financial assets.

This proportion now stands ~6 percentage points above the 2000 Dot-Com Bubble peak.

Foreign appetite for US equities is historically strong. https://x.com/HHorsley/status/2104460376184414290

## @matthewbennett (Matthew Bennett) · 09-28 08:03 · ♥45 ↻8 💬25 Introducing Rampy, It's is non-custodial infrastructure to move between your bank and stablecoins, not an exchange, not a token, not a custodial balance.

One account. Four products. Buy · Sell · Swap · Deposit

## @Tanaka_L2 (Tanaka) · 09-28 08:33 · ♥51 ↻1 💬19 What’s happening with Aptos as stablecoin MC drops ~13.75% in 7D and over 21% in 30D?

Is capital starting to leave @Aptos?

Aptos stablecoin MC is now around $962M, down ~12.5% in 7D and ~21.4% in 30D. Most of the pressure comes from USDT, with its supply on Aptos down roughly 38% over the past 30D.

Looking deeper, Aptos still has a very large stablecoin supply compared with the amount of capital actually being used in DeFi.

– Stablecoin supply: ~$918M – Stablecoins deployed in DeFi: ~$11M – Utilization: only ~1.2% – DeFi TVL at the snapshot: ~$66M

In simple terms, there’s still a lot of stablecoin liquidity sitting onchain, while only a small amount is being deployed across lending, LPs and other DeFi apps.

One metric moving in the opposite direction is DEX volume.

– 7D DEX volume: ~$48.1M – WoW growth: +29.3%

So liquidity is trending lower, while short-term trading activity is still holding up.

Competition is also getting much tougher as @Arc, @RobinhoodCrypto Chain, @Plasma and other newer ecosystems keep attracting users and liquidity through incentives, new apps and fresh narratives.

I still want to see whether Aptos can convert its remaining stablecoin liquidity into real DeFi usage and retain users during this phase.

Stablecoin outflow is a warning sign. Utilization and real activity are the next 2 metrics worth tracking. https://x.com/Tanaka_L2/status/2104489745544089625

## @creed_on_chain (Creed) · 09-28 08:31 · ♥44 ↻0 💬12 was testing out @ZestProtocol BTC Collateral Vault demo on mainnet and wanted to share how it works.

the concept is straightforward. you deposit $BTC as collateral, borrow USDC on Ethereum without selling or wrapping your BTC. basically it's just your BTC doing actual work.

i put in about $40 in BTC to test it out. here's the flow👇

> fund your BTC wallet first (i used Xverse wallet) > open https://t.co/vaRzALTuoC and connect your funded BTC wallet and an ETH wallet > hit open a vault and click Prepare Bitcoin Collateral Vault > deposit BTC and click Register Vault (deposits can take up to 1hr) > now go back to your dashboard and click borrow USDC > sign all relevant txns and you receive your borrowed USDC

the UX is clean for a mainnet demo and it was easy to get through the whole flow without issues. the fact that you can put BTC up as collateral and receive stablecoins on Ethereum natively is genuinely interesting infra imo.

borrowing against BTC has always existed in some form but usually with ugly tradeoffs. custodial risk, wrapped assets, centralized intermediaries.

this actually feels like a cleaner path. > 引用 @ZestProtocol: Bitcoin Collateral Vaults demo is now on mainnet.

Deposit native BTC into a self-custodial vault on Bitcoin L1. Borrow Ethereum USDC against it. The capital layer for Bitcoin. https://t.co/fVhDsXQcVR https://x.com/creed_on_chain/status/2104489253203792232
