Imagine having $USDD in your wallet and wanting to send it to someone, only to discover that you need another token, $TRX, to pay transaction fees.
For many new users, this extra requirement creates unnecessary friction when interacting with blockchain networks.
That is where #GasFree comes in. 👇
GasFree is designed to simplify eligible stablecoin transfers on #TRON by allowing users to handle applicable fees through a supported GasFree setup instead of needing to hold $TRX specifically for gas.
𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗮 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿, 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽-𝗯𝘆-𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱.
➝ 1️⃣ Open GasFree Through a Supported Wallet
Start by opening GasFree through a supported wallet, such as @TronLinkWallet.
Make sure you are using the correct official service and the TRON network. You do not need to acquire $TRX specifically for gas before exploring the GasFree setup.
➝ 2️⃣ Create Your GasFree Account
Follow the instructions to create your GasFree account.
The account provides the setup needed to access the service and initiate eligible transfers. According to this guide, account creation itself is free, although the first transfer has an activation fee.
➝ 3️⃣ Fund Your Account With $USDD
Next, deposit TRON-based $USDD into your GasFree account from a supported exchange or another compatible wallet.
This is an important step: GasFree uses your USDD balance to facilitate transfers and cover applicable fees.
Always verify that you are sending the correct token on the correct network. Never send assets to an address without confirming that it is supported.
➝ 4️⃣ Enter the Recipient’s Address
Once your account is funded, enter the recipient’s TRON address and specify how much $USDD you want to transfer.
Before proceeding, check three things:
✅ The recipient’s wallet address is correct.
✅ The transfer amount is accurate.
✅ You have enough USDD to cover both the transfer and any applicable fees.
Remember, blockchain transactions are generally irreversible once confirmed.
➝ 5️⃣ Understand the Activation and Transfer Fees
For the first transfer described in this guide, the applicable charges are:
♤ GasFree activation fee: 1 USDD
♤ Transfer fee: 0.5 USDD
♤ Total initial fees: 1.5 USDD
These are the figures provided in this guide; always verify the current fee schedule in the official interface before confirming.
The important distinction is that the applicable fees are deducted in USDD rather than requiring you to separately fund the transaction with $TRX.
➝ 6️⃣ Review and Submit
Review the details, sign through your supported wallet and wait for confirmation. Check the status through the interface or a trusted TRON block explorer.
Never share your recovery phrase or private keys.
➝ 7️⃣ Transfer With Confidence
After activation, subsequent eligible transfers depend on supported features, limits and current fees. GasFree does not make every TRON transaction free.
𝗨𝘀𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗧𝗶𝗽: $USDT ↔ $USDD
The USDD website’s PSM module has been described as supporting 1:1 swaps between USDT and USDD with zero slippage. Check current availability and terms before using it.
𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀
GasFree addresses a common onboarding challenge: needing a separate native token to transfer stablecoins.
By allowing eligible transfers to use USDD for applicable fees, it offers a simpler experience for users who want to move digital dollars without maintaining a separate $TRX balance for gas.
$USDD × #GasFree × #TRON
Fund your account. Check fees. Verify the recipient. Sign securely. Transfer conveniently.

## @sundaypeter8110 (sunday peter π) · 10-11 19:58 · ♥51 ↻7 💬2 The game just changed with *OUSD — Open USD*.
OUSD launched *June 30, 2026* by *Open Standard* — not one company, but 140+ partners: *Visa, Mastercard, Stripe/Bridge, BlackRock, BNY Mellon, Coinbase, Google* etc.
And it's built for *GENIUS Act + MiCA compliance* from day one: - Reserves held at BlackRock / BNY / Lead Bank — Treasuries + cash, 100% backed - Monthly attestations - KYC/AML by design - Yield goes to the distribution partners, not just the issuer - Live on Solana, Stellar, Base, Polygon — built for business payments, not just crypto trading
Now — future of *non-compliant stablecoins* like USDT (offshore), USDe, DAI and other algo/decentralized ones:
*1. They won't die, but they will be segregated:*
- *Compliant lane:* OUSD, USDC, RLUSD, PYUSD, USDGO will own *regulated payments, merchant settlement, payroll, remittance, cards, and US/EU exchanges.* Visa and Mastercard pushing OUSD through BVNK means businesses can hold OUSD alongside fiat with no extra crypto stack.
- *Non-compliant lane:* USDT and others will stay dominant in *crypto-native trading, DeFi, P2P, and Global South markets* where dollar access is hard. But they will lose direct access to US banking rails. US exchanges will have to delist or restrict non-GENIUS stablecoins for US users. EU already doing this under MiCA.
*2. The GENIUS Act is the real killer:*
Under GENIUS, to be used as a payment stablecoin in US you need: - Licensed issuer / bank - 1:1 reserves in permitted assets - No marketing as yield to retail - Full AML/Travel Rule
If you don't comply, you can't partner with Visa, Stripe, banks. You get pushed offshore.
*3. What that means for you in Nigeria / Africa:*
You will see TWO dollars:
- *OUSD/USDC for business:* If you want to receive from a US company, get paid via Stripe, settle on Shopify — they will push you to OUSD/USDC because it's compliant and converts instantly to Rand/Naira without volatility risk for them. - *USDT for survival:* For P2P, saving, trading on Binance/Bybit, DeFi, hedging Naira — people will still use USDT because it's liquid everywhere and doesn't ask too many questions. That demand doesn't go away.
*My take:*
Non-compliant stablecoins become like the informal market — huge volume, but no access to big corporate infrastructure. Compliant ones like OUSD become the *formal payment rail*.
So Tether won't collapse, but its market share in _regulated commerce_ will shrink fast. OUSD is designed to take the next $1 Trillion from $280B today to $1.5T by 2030 — and that growth comes from real economy, not crypto speculation.
If you hold non-compliant stables long term: keep them for trading, but don't build a business that _depends_ on them for US/EU partnerships. Build on OUSD/USDC for compliance. https://x.com/sundaypeter8110/status/2109373184222851488
## @xpsyk0w (xpsyk0w.sui (🌊,🪖) 💧) · 10-11 14:31 · ♥41 ↻4 💬4 Something changed in how $SUI is being positioned
A year ago, the conversation was mostly: speed, DeFi, gaming
Now it’s: payments, stablecoins, Bitcoin finance, AI agents, data infrastructure, institutional rails
The ecosystem didn’t just get bigger. The narrative got broader.
SUI is no longer trying to win one category. It’s trying to become infrastructure for an entire financial stack.
That shift is probably more important than any single Basecamp announcement 👀 https://x.com/xpsyk0w/status/2109290709027012618
