2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid Debuts With 38 MPG. But It's Not A Traditional Hybrid
The 2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid is the automaker's first model in the United States with its e-Power series hybrid system.
The 2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid is here, and while it's not the automaker’s first hybrid, it is officially the first E-Power model to make its way Stateside. While it may have "Hybrid" in the name, this new Rogue is actually a range-extended electric vehicle by definition, with a gas motor. It goes on sale later this year.
With consumers seeking refuge from high gas prices, the new Rogue Hybrid makes sense for the US. Automakers with hybrid models are seeing a boom in sales, and the new electrified Rogue could prove quite popular from the jump.
Nissan actually launched a plug-in version of the current Rogue less than a year ago that was heavily based on the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. It served as an interlude to this new next-generation Rogue Hybrid. But this new Rogue is a far cry from that model.

2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid
You might have heard the term "E-Power" before. But this is Nissan's first E-Power model in the United States featuring the automaker's series-hybrid system.
The Rogue uses a turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine to charge a 1.67-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery, which powers two electric motors that drive all four wheels. Once the fuel tank runs low, there's no need to recharge; drivers can fill up at the gas station like a normal hybrid.
The system makes a combined 225 horsepower and returns 38 miles per gallon combined, based on Nissan’s internal testing. It can achieve 36 mpg on the highway and 40 mpg in the city.
2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid
The 2027 Rogue Hybrid looks much sharper than the model it replaces. It has a honeycomb grille with integrated LED headlights and LED taillights at the back. Nissan will offer an available full-width LED taillight element.
The new SR grade features unique fascias, trim, and gloss black accents. Eight exterior colors are available, plus five two-tone options with a black roof.
Inside, the Rogue comes standard with a pair of 12.3-inch displays with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The digital instrument cluster and infotainment display grow to 14.3 inches depending on the trim, while the Platinum comes with a 10-speaker Bose audio system.
The Rogue’s cargo area measures 31.1 cubic feet with the rear seats up, and it expands to 65.9 cu ft when folded down.
Nissan says the 2027 Rogue Hybrid will go on sale in the United States this fall. The automaker will launch the Rogue Hybrid SR AWD with the SR Tech Package first. The other trims will follow in early 2027.
The entry-level Rogue Hybrid SV will start at $37,065 (all prices include the $1,575 destination charge). The Rogue Hybrid Platinum sits at the top of the lineup with a $45,065 starting price.
Nissan will launch a non-hybrid variant that should be cheaper, but it’s expected to arrive sometime later next year. The current Nissan Rogue with the turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine starts at $31,035, and the 2027 model should be similar.
