i think that’s only half the story.
the other half is what happens after you move onchain.
most people don’t think about it until they realize every balance, every route, and every position can become part of a public trail.
that’s why strkBTC caught my attention.
instead of treating privacy like an extra feature later, it gives BTC holders the option to reduce public exposure through shielding when using supported Starknet flows.
you still keep BTC exposure, and supported apps like AVNU, Endur, Ekubo, and Vesu are already part of the ecosystem once you’re there.
worth saying the obvious too.
using strkBTC and DeFi still comes with bridge, smart contract, liquidity, and market risk. shielding is optional, not automatic.

a specific kcc20 covenant instance might still have implementation bugs or even compiler toolchain exploits, just like any other programmable system (eg just like vulnerabilities found in specific eth smart contracts).
