Micron Technology released its fiscal fourth-quarter and full-year 2026 results on September 30, with surging AI demand driving full-year revenue to a record $133.19B. Micron CEO Sanjay Mehrotra noted that AI’s evolution toward superintelligence is creating substantial additional memory demand across customer platforms. The company’s fourth-quarter revenue, gross margin, and EPS all exceeded the high end of its guidance, while Micron expects an even stronger performance in fiscal 2027.

Commenting on the memory market outlook, Mehrotra said increasingly sophisticated AI applications are driving demand for higher-performance, higher-capacity memory across both data centers and edge devices. He expects supply-demand conditions for memory and storage to be even tighter in 2027 and 2028 than in 2026.

Micron faced tight supply for both DRAM and NAND in the fourth quarter, contributing to sharp price increases across both product categories. HBM revenue grew even faster than the company overall, while Micron’s 2027 HBM capacity is already nearly fully booked by customers at prices significantly higher than a year earlier.

Looking ahead to fiscal 1Q27, CFO Mark Murphy expects quarterly revenue of $61.5B, plus or minus $1.5B, and anticipates sequential revenue growth in every quarter of fiscal 2027. To address the structural gap between DRAM supply and demand growth, Micron plans to increase capital expenditures in fiscal 2027, with additional investment in fab construction aimed at securing more cleanroom space by the end of 2028.

Murphy emphasized that strong long-term demand visibility will support continued investment in technology and products. Backed by strong operational execution, Micron expects fiscal 2027 to set another revenue record.
