Under the proposed Box 3 system:
Self-held crypto and physical gold/silver could be taxed 36% EVERY YEAR on unrealised gains.
Crypto, gold and silver ETFs and certain investment funds could instead face the 36% tax only when profits are realised.

Stellungnahmen sind nur bis zum 6. Oktober möglich, also sechs Tage. Was drinsteht: – Die Haltefrist fällt für alle Bitcoin, die ab dem 1.1.2027 gekauft werden. Gewinne kosten dann 25 % Abgeltungsteuer plus Soli, egal wie lange man hält. – Altbestände bis zum 31.12.2026 behalten die Jahresfrist. – Staking und Lending werden Kapitalerträge. – Ab 2028 ziehen die Börsen die Steuer direkt ab und dürfen dafür Coins ohne Zustimmung verkaufen. – Kann man den Kaufpreis nicht belegen, werden pauschal 50 % des Verkaufserlöses besteuert. Was sich gegenüber der Fassung vom September geändert hat: inhaltlich nichts. Das BMF hat nur die Zahlen nachgetragen. Es erwartet 350 Mio. € Mehreinnahmen im Jahr, und das erst ab 2029. Die Kosten für Bürger und Wirtschaft stehen weiter auf „folgt“. Für so wenig Geld wird der Standort Deutschland für Bitcoin beschädigt und Vertrauen zerstört.

Zij stappen in een bitcoin/crypto ETF, ETN, ETP, want vermogenswinstbelasting.
In 2030 vallen bitcoin en crypto ook onder vermogenswinstbelasting.
Beleggers gaan hun ETF, ETN, ETP, echter niet verkopen om weer in te ruilen voor 'echter bitcoin/crypto', want dan komt vermogenswinstbelasting om de hoek kijken.

Numbers say it's a BULL market for crypto.
BTC is now about to close Q3 2026 up 43%, its strongest Q3 in 9 years.
That is about 400% higher than its average Q3 return of 8.61%.
Altcoin market is also up 38% since June, at $1.16T, marking its steepest reversal since last year.
That means BTC added $508B+ in market cap, while $319B+ flowed into altcoins in just 3 months.
The overall crypto market cap is now back around $2.85T, a level not seen since January.
