PANews, October 1 – According to Bloomberg, global alternative asset manager Apollo Global Management will provide financing support for a $15 billion AI infrastructure project in Japan, further expanding its investment footprint in the artificial intelligence sector.
Apollo will participate as a strategic investment and financing partner in a project jointly advanced by UK developer RHAELM Holdings, Japan's largest power utility Jera, and Dell Technologies. Located in Chiba Prefecture, Japan, the project aims to build infrastructure supporting AI computing demand.
The partnership is part of Apollo's continued push into AI infrastructure in recent years. As demand for AI model training and inference grows, data centers, power supply, and related infrastructure are becoming an emerging asset class drawing attention from institutional investors.
