## @realcryptomoses (CryptoMoses) · 10-08 14:54 · ♥75 ↻10 💬10 MiCA-licensed crypto firms across the EU have until January 8, 2027 to stop supporting Tether’s $USDT.

ESMA says firms must cease services involving non-compliant stablecoins, covering trading, exchange, custody, transfers, execution, advisory and portfolio management.

This could be a major regulatory blow for $USDT in the European market. 👀 https://x.com/realcryptomoses/status/2108209514000302155

As @cdixon said last year, WhatsApp did it for messages. Stablecoins are now doing it for money.

## @sadbryce (bryce 💀) · 10-08 17:06 · ♥41 ↻1 💬9 hot take: crypto and fintech are basically the same industry now.

stablecoins and blockchain rails ARE a financial technology.

crypto native companies are now launching cards, bank accounts, other financial products, while traditional fintechs are integrating wallets, stablecoins and blockchain rails at an unprecedented rate.

we’re watching both industries attack the same problems from opposite directions until they eventually meet in the middle.

crypto companies are becoming fintechs and fintechs are becoming crypto companies. https://x.com/sadbryce/status/2108242684234104886
