The 49–50 procedural vote fell short of the 60 votes needed to move the bill forward. But U.S. crypto regulation doesn't stop here:
🔸️ SEC and CFTC can keep moving
Former CFTC Chair @giancarloMKTS says the SEC and CFTC can still move forward with crypto rules despite CLARITY’s Senate setback.
🔹️ Stablecoins already have federal rules
The GENIUS Act is already law, giving stablecoins a federal regulatory framework.
🔸️ CLARITY could still return
The bill stalled in the Senate, but Sen. Thom Tillis's procedural vote switch leaves open the possibility of reconsideration.
🔹️ Market structure remains unresolved
CLARITY aimed to clarify digital asset rules and the roles of the SEC and CFTC.
🔸️ The administration still supports crypto legislation
Trump has backed CLARITY, while SEC Chair @SECPaulSAtkins and CFTC Chair @MichaelSelig have supported clearer crypto rules. https://x.com/Cryptic_Web3/status/2100119191235997728

## @Octopuslaboff (Octopus Lab ™) · 09-16 10:16 · ♥45 ↻0 💬1 🔹 LES AMBITIONS VONT BIEN AU-DELÀ DES PAIEMENTS
