NFTs have spent years being treated mainly as digital objects you buy, hold, and display.
@PlayOnMint is exploring a different direction with MintABear.
What interests me is turning ownership into something that can evolve.
Instead of the story ending after the mint, holders can interact with a progression system built around XP, Bear levels, and Status.
XP gives participation a measurable path.
Levels provide another way for holders to develop their Bears.
Status then adds a layer that can connect progress with recognition.
The $MNTD component makes the structure even more interesting, especially with the roadmap pointing toward a Q4 TGE and planned Robinhood access.
There are also mechanics around multiple Bears, raffles, and potential royalty opportunities, which could give collectors more reasons to remain active rather than simply holding passively.
But I think the real challenge will be execution.
An ecosystem can have plenty of features and still feel complicated if the relationship between them is unclear.

I am also interested in whether these mechanics can create genuine reasons for long term participation rather than short term activity around launches.
If PlayOnMint can keep the user experience simple while expanding the ecosystem underneath it, MintABear could demonstrate how NFT ownership can become more interactive.
The concept is worth following, but the next stage is turning these mechanics into a smooth experience holders want to use.

- Robinhood is bringing perps to eligible US users in its main app, reportedly through Bitstamp. - but Bitstamp already handles its EU perps. that’s been running alongside Lighter’s separate Wallet integration in supported non-US markets, so the two already coexist. - and Robinhood’s current Wallet docs still name Lighter as the exchange handling those trades. we don’t have confirmation that this deal is being removed. - as for US access, @vnovakovski has discussed pursuing CFTC approval. if it gets DCM approval, that’s a step forward. then let’s see whether Robinhood expands the deal.
so yeah, if you bought expecting immediate US expansion, i get the disappointment.
but that alone doesn’t mean Lighter’s existing Wallet business is gone.
