Scumbags posted YouTube tutorials on building an “AI trading bot” with Claude.
Victims copied the code, deployed the contract, funded it, and approved every tx themselves.
The bot had zero trading logic. It just sent their ETH to the scammers. Boom. Gone.
224 wallets drained. 274.6 ETH stolen (~$517K). Median loss: 1 ETH.
Some even got an error after getting emptied: “deposit another 50% to fix the bot.”
They made victims build, fund, and approve their own wallet drainer.
