You launch a chain, hype it up, introduce stock tokens.
Then, at your own Summit, you mention none of it.
No Robinhood Chain No Stock tokens No CASHCAT/PONS/WALLET Nothing related to crypto (well yeah the launched 7 perp pairs for US users)
There is 1 minute of content on DeFi on the 29th of Sept (day 1) the fragment begins with the following and I quote:
“Hey captain, I’m getting another distressed call. This time it’s from the DeFi sector.”
@vladtenev responds: “our old friends, alright bring it up”
“Captain, we need reinforcements. There are a lot more new assets that are waiting to be tokenized. I don’t think I can hold them any longer.”
@vladtenev responds:
“He seems quite desperate, quite hungry. Gina, set course for the DeFi sector, worp12(?)”
"Thank you for joining us on this journey, we'll see you in the DeFi sector" ——————————————————
Something is brewing, but I don't know what. https://x.com/JJcycles/status/2105420392521240828
## @DarkoMatrix (Darko) · 09-30 20:25 · ♥73 ↻1 💬61 one thing i like about btc is that it doesn't need to be reinvented
it just needs better ways to participate
with strkbtc on @Starknet, btc can move through garden finance from bitcoin into starknet and connect with supported defi
the same btc can then be used for lending, borrowing, trading or supported staking opportunities
but there's another part i find interesting
once bridged, strkbtc starts public, while supported wallets like xverse and ready wallet let you shield it when you want more privacy around your activity
so btc doesn't have to stay on the sidelines of the onchain economy
it can actually become part of it
and that shift from simply owning btc to actually using it is what makes this worth exploring https://x.com/DarkoMatrix/status/2105393516398669907

## @Salimasbegum (Salima) · 09-30 18:36 · ♥70 ↻13 💬1 🚨 Virtue isn’t dead. October could mark its return — rebuilt, redesigned and fundamentally different.
What happened was serious: ~24M IOTA compromised, dozens of liquidations and roughly 45 users affected. But the post-exploit picture may now look very different:
1️⃣ ~12M IOTA reportedly remain frozen on-chain. 2️⃣ ~6M IOTA appear to have been identified or blocked through exchanges/intermediaries. 3️⃣ ~6M IOTA appear to have been recovered.
A large share of the attacker’s position may therefore have become frozen, traceable or recovered.
Now the interesting part: what could change in Virtue itself?
🔹 USDT0 ↔ VUSD PSM to strengthen 1:1 stability. 🔹 Reduced dependence on the oracle architecture exposed by the exploit. 🔹 A redesigned VUSD stability mechanism. 🔹 Stronger oracle security, permissions and attack-surface controls. 🔹 A protocol rebuilt after the hardest stress test it could realistically face.
But Virtue may also have stress-tested something deeper than DeFi infrastructure: IOTA’s decentralization itself.
When users are hurt, capital is trapped and influential actors are involved, decentralization stops being a slogan and starts having a real cost. The real test is whether the rules still hold when changing them would be convenient. If even powerful actors cannot unilaterally impose an outcome, decentralization becomes tangible. And as influence keeps dispersing across more hands, IOTA may emerge from this episode more decentralized — and more resilient — than before.
If the reported October relaunch happens with a materially stronger architecture, this stops looking like just an exploit aftermath.
It starts looking like Virtue 2.0. #IOTA #Virtue #DeFi #VUSD #USDT0 https://x.com/Salimasbegum/status/2105366192877670732
