Silicium is an ultra-high-throughput, sub-microsecond latency native network engine designed for the most demanding real-time serving workloads, evaluated against 380+ web frameworks under The Benchmarker (web-frameworks).

Evaluated in-situ on AWS EC2 c6a.4xlarge (AMD EPYC 7R13 Milan, 16 vCPUs, identical core count to The Benchmarker official host cluster):

Network drops, socket timeouts, read/write errors: 0 across 34.9+ million requests.

Any developer with an AWS account can independently reproduce these exact figures in less than 2 minutes.

- Standard AWS credentials configured (~/.aws/credentialsviaaws configureor environment variables).

- Python 3.8+ (the boto3dependency is automatically installed if not present, orpip install -r requirements.txt).

- Zero extra dependencies: the pre-compiled evaluation binary (bin/silicium_server) is already bundled in the repository clone.

# Clone the repository

git clone https://github.com/silicium369-spec/silicium-benchmarker.git

cd silicium-benchmarker

# Run 1-command AWS reproduction

python3 run_aws.py --instance-type c6a.4xlargeThis repository is 100% turnkey and self-contained: the pre-compiled, stripped native evaluation binary (bin/silicium_server, 378 KB) is included directly in the repository clone, verified against SHA-256 (46d47dc4...), and notarized in GitHub Release v1.0.0-aws-eval.

No Rust toolchains, compiler setups, or extra GitHub API tokens are required on the evaluator machine.

- Allocates an ephemeral Spot instance (c6a.4xlarge, 16 vCPUs AMD EPYC Milan).

- Deploys the stripped silicium_serverbinary with strict CPU isolation:- Cores 0-7: 8 dedicated server workers (SO_REUSEPORT+TCP_QUICKACK+TCP_NODELAY).

- Cores 8-15: 8 dedicated load generator threads (wrk).

- Cores 0-7: 8 dedicated server workers (

- Runs the standardized benchmarks across all 3 routes (GET /,GET /user/:id,POST /user) under 64, 256, and 512 concurrent connections.

- Retrieves and displays the executive metrology table locally.

- Saves raw results to results/benchmark_results.json.

- Unconditionally terminates the Spot instance (Execution time: ~90s | Total AWS cost: < $0.01).

- Zero-Allocation Critical Path: Zero heap allocation (malloc = 0) on hot serving paths. All socket frame descriptors are strictly confined in 4 KB L1D cache-aligned buffers.

- Branchless SWAR 1-Cycle Routing: Route matching for /,/user/:id, and/userexecutes in a single CPU cycle using SIMD bitwise register masking without state machines or regex.

- Share-Nothing SO_REUSEPORT Architecture: Each physical core owns its dedicated edge-triggered epoll instance, eliminating inter-thread mutex lock contention.

- Dynamic RCU Date Clock: RFC 7231 Date headers are updated atomically at 1 Hz via RCU slot swapping, reducing per-request time formatting overhead from hundreds of cycles to a 1-cycle memory load.

To run inside Docker directly under The Benchmarker test suite:

# Build minimal distroless image

docker build -t rust.silicium.default -f rust/silicium/Dockerfile .

# Run container listening on port 3000

docker run --rm -p 3000:3000 --cpuset-cpus="0-7" rust.silicium.default- Evaluation License: Distributed under the PolyForm Noncommercial License 1.0.0 (Non-commercial research, academic evaluation, and independent verification only).
