## @cryptomanianQ (MANIAN QUINE 🦞) · 09-17 04:58 · ♥203 ↻2 💬111 3D mapping has a data problem that is easy to overlook.
The world changes constantly, but most digital representations of physical spaces become outdated the moment they are captured.
@vangrid_io is taking a different approach: turning smartphones into a distributed network for collecting fresh, verifiable 3D data.
The model is straightforward.
Buyers can post bounties for specific real-world locations, while contributors nearby capture those locations using their phones.
The important part is what happens to that data afterward.
Vangrid fingerprints captures on-device and anchors them on Base through Ethereum Attestation Service, creating a verifiable record of what was captured.
This makes verification part of the data pipeline rather than an additional layer added later.
Buyers can inspect the attestation and verify the capture instead of relying entirely on a centralized dashboard.
Privacy is also handled before the data leaves the device.
Faces and license plates are blurred on-device before uploads, addressing one of the obvious challenges that comes with building a large-scale real-world capture network.
There are already measurable signs of activity:
• 832,737 captures • 3,512 attestations • $283,513 USDC settled
These metrics are important because they show the system is already being used rather than existing only as a concept.
The broader opportunity extends beyond 3D maps.
Reliable, current physical-world data can support robotics, spatial computing, digital twins, AI systems, mapping and other applications that need accurate information about real environments.
That makes the underlying marketplace particularly interesting.
Instead of one company having to deploy specialized equipment everywhere, Vangrid creates a mechanism where demand for specific data can be matched with contributors who are already close to the location.
The project has raised $9M in seed funding from investors including HashKey, Animoca, Borderless, https://t.co/OP3DjQinCk Capital, Gate Labs and Mapleblock. The team is based in Amsterdam and Vangrid is also part of NVIDIA Inception.
For me, the interesting question isn't whether phones can capture 3D environments.
They clearly can.
The question is whether a decentralized network can coordinate enough contributors, maintain data quality, protect privacy, and make verified physical-world data commercially useful at scale.
If Vangrid can solve those pieces together, it could be building more than a mapping product.
It could be building infrastructure for turning the physical world into a continuously updated, verifiable data layer.
That is the part worth watching.
What do you think will be the biggest challenge: data quality, verification, or network scale? https://x.com/cryptomanianQ/status/2100449249368379398

## @CredibleCrypto (CrediBULL Crypto) · 09-17 07:45 · ♥202 ↻9 💬22 We have left behind our equal lows on $ETH for now, and we now have triple untapped lows.
Again, would prefer to take them before a move back up to the highs because if we don't and we move up in a corrective manner again the assumption is that we may come back down again for them later.
Let's see how things develop- for now the chop continues within our range. > 引用 @CredibleCrypto: We got an initial, decent reaction off of our local demand zone on $ETH but it failed to produce a higher high and the subsequent move back down broke our local demand zone.
On the bright side, if we take our "equal lows" now (which seems likely), it means the next time we pump to the upside it may be more sustainable as liq to the downside will have already been taken.
Essentially rather than taking the highs and potentially pushing to 2800+ before our "larger dip" we may just be getting the "larger dip" out of the way now.
Let's see if we can officially take those equal (well now triple) lows and then watch to see how PA develops from there. https://x.com/CredibleCrypto/status/2100491287619072337
## @cantonmeow (Cantonese Cat 🐱🐈) · 09-17 04:35 · ♥205 ↻5 💬15 Is it socially safe to talk about how bullish #Ethereum is yet?
I am OK with the answer being no, because then my bag may finally do something bullish. https://x.com/cantonmeow/status/2100443377292440005
