No. There's no reason to sell anything right now.
Here's the part people skip. If Bitcoin drops 15 percent from here, Solana drops something like 25 percent. That isn't a surprise and it isn't a reason to panic. That's the trade you chose.
If you're holding a big Solana position instead of Bitcoin, you did that because you believe in Solana more than Bitcoin. The extra drawdown is the price of that belief. You can't take the upside version of that trade and then be shocked by the downside version of it.
So if you hold a large cap, you're okay. If you hold it without leverage, you're okay. A top ten coin that hasn't run hard has just been following Bitcoin's candles week after week. The ones that already pumped a long way are a different question.
The low caps are where I'd actually be careful. That's a different risk from a top ten coin and it doesn't behave the same way in a drawdown.
And if you're holding spot with no leverage, the most useful thing I can tell you has nothing to do with a trade. Stop looking. Don't look at your portfolio for the next month. Delete the portfolio app, log off, come back in a month. Chances are your portfolio is up when you do.
One more thing, because it's the question underneath the question. People keep asking why Uniswap and Zcash are pumping and their coin isn't.
It's because the bull market isn't in full force yet, so only the trending narratives move. Privacy is one. The Robinhood chain is another, which is why Uniswap and the coins attached to it are moving. That's a narrative trade, not broad altcoin season.
So if you're asking why one is pumping and yours isn't, that's your answer. You're not following the narratives, which means these particular pumps aren't yours to catch. That's fine. It just means the next move is waiting, not chasing. https://x.com/virtualbacon/status/2101794134797549654
