While these currencies were losing purchasing power, Bitcoin nearly doubled.
Measured in some of those currencies, the difference is even more extreme:
BTC in Turkish lira: +1,013.5% BTC in Argentine pesos: +2,933.6%
This is why currency weakness matters for crypto.
When people watch their savings lose value year after year, they start looking for somewhere else to put their money.
Crypto is becoming one of those alternatives.
And the amount of money sitting in global currencies and financial assets is measured in tens of trillions.
