IO Interactive has released 007 First Light free downloadable content “Extended Operations,” which adds new activity “Valhalla Protocol,” new operation “Jungle Heist,” new weapons and outfits, New Game Plus, Photo Mode, and more, as part of the game’s version 1.3.0 update.

The main new content is as follows:

- New Game Plus – Take on the campaign story again with the experience of a seasoned agent. New Game+ features a couple of additional features: Suit Loadout, Gadget flexibility and a new difficulty level. More details about each of these can be found below. To unlock New Game+, a completed playthrough of the entire Campaign is necessary.

- Mission Warderobe – After experiencing the re-imagined origin story of James Bond in all its intended glory, you will have the freedom in New Game+ to replay the campaign with any outfit you deem to be the most fitting for the occasion. Simply access your journal at any point in your NG+ playthrough to switch outfits and restart from your chosen checkpoint to see your new chosen threads.

- Gadget on Demand

- Gadget Flexibility – With an increased familiarity with Q’s beloved gadgets, you will find situations where the tool you started with is no longer the best one for the job. New Game+ gives you the freedom to adapt, so you can approach each mission with exactly the kit you want.

- Change Gadgets on the Spot – Swap your gadgets at any time during a mission, without waiting for the next chapter.

- Story-Based Availability – Only gadgets that have been unlocked at that specific point in the story can be used, so Q’s inventions still reach you in the order the campaign introduces them.

- New “00” Difficulty – The ultimate test for any agent. This is the hardest way to play 007 First Light, built for players who are ready to prove that they have Earned the Number. Foes will spot you faster, hit harder, and resources only restore a fraction of your gadget’s usage. This difficulty is only unlocked after completing the Campaign.

- New Feature: Photo Mode – Freeze the moment and frame the perfect shot. Capture Bond, the locations and the action from your own angle. Choose between camera settings, overlays, filters, visual effects and poses to create your best shots. We can’t wait to see your masterpieces.

- New Tacsim Activity: Valhalla Protocol – The Aston Martin Valhalla is unleashed. Take the wheel of Bond’s most heavily armed ride and cut loose on the open road, with machine guns and missile launchers at your command. In TacSim you will now find the new Activity, which brings you to the scenic landscape of Slovakia, where you can show off your best driving skills and aim for the highest score.

- New Tacsim Operation: Jungle Heist – Return to the beautiful The Pearl Hotel in Vietnam and retrieve valuable documents from the safe inside the villa. This Operation will ask the most of your ability to adapt as every attempt will be different from before.

- New Tacsim Weapons

- Storm 12 Gauge – Clearance Level 20: 6000 Intel.

- Squire Marksman Rifle – Clearance Level 18: 4000 Intel.

- New Tacsim Outfits

- Observant Spy – Unlocked by default.

- Leisure Beam – Unlocked by default.

- First Class – Unlocked by default

- Introducing: Jack the Bulldog – Right next to Dr. Selina Tan’s beloved TacSim area, you will now find the newest member of the MI6 HQ personnel: Jack the Bulldog. A distinguished and charming resident offering support in the form of his presence and indeed: You can pet him.

- IO Interactive Account Reward – We are also introducing a new IOI Account reward: The Grey Standard outfit. Everyone who connects their game to an IOI Account until November 1st will unlock it, so make sure to link your account before the deadline.

- Twitch Drop

- One More – October 1 at 03:00 OM (UTC) to October 16 at 05:00 PM (UTC).

- Improved Combat Fidelity – We have improved weapon handling animations across the arsenal, so reloads, aiming transitions and weapon swaps (and throws) look and feel smoother and more responsive. Oh…and Bond can now be thrown off ledges just like his opponents. That seemed only fair.

007 First Light is available now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, and is due out for Switch 2 in March 2027.
