The obvious long has gone up for five months straight, and it's still somehow non-consensus.
I'm watching people post HTF ethereum:0x232ce3bd40fcd6f80f3d55a522d03f25df784ee2 charts as a justification for shorts. Hello? People have lost their minds.
Taking a mid to high timeframe short on ethereum:0x232ce3bd40fcd6f80f3d55a522d03f25df784ee2 is the same thing as saying "I don't understand how trends work."
Compounding the madness, Lighter has some very obvious catalysts coming in the new future. Here's the one I'm focused on:
Every quarter end Lighter does a quarterly call. There have been two so far. They're marked on the chart. Look at what happens afterward.
The day before each quarterly call Lighter has announced a major partnership. Before their Q1 call it was Telegram. Before their Q2 call it was Robinhood.
Q3 ends next week. Robinhood's HOOD summit is the 29th. The following week Lighter's CEO is on the TOKEN2049 panel titled: The Speculation Age: When Everything Becomes Tradable.
You don't even need to like Lighter as a product (which is only possible if you haven't used it), or believe in the HTF chart (which is insane), to make a simple bet that sometime soon Lighter drops market moving headlines.
This setup is so screamingly obvious to me that I assumed it would be front run, and maybe this time the quarterly call is a sell the news event. ethereum:0x232ce3bd40fcd6f80f3d55a522d03f25df784ee2 has certainly gone up a lot.
Yet, here were are, a couple days out from quarter end, and ethereum:0x232ce3bd40fcd6f80f3d55a522d03f25df784ee2 is down 17% from the highs, remaining stubbornly in the $4.40 to $4.90 range that it has more or less remained in for the last three weeks. This is a far cry from the blow off top that I expected.

Can I really keep getting away with it?
