This is on top of precedence set via similar requests from Exxon and Goldman Sachs.
While some may have concerns with this, this is the right approach. Retail most often votes with their investment portfolio. If they don't like the way a board is handling things, they usually sell and move on.
We in retail also have busy lives, and for those with quite a few names in our portfolios, they can sometimes be hard track every vote outside of the most important matters. This has led to retail participation and the governance of public companies typically being underrepresented.
The guidelines include:
- Completely voluntary opt-in with free Annual reminders - Easy, no-cost opt-out or override for any specific meeting

This is what ownership should look like. When millions of people own shares of a public company, it should be easier for them to vote their shares.
