Official Samsung statement:
Samsung’s stablecoin rollout uses @Solana and @SuiNetwork , not @ethereum.
“Samsung announced that Samsung Wallet will add native USDC support for eligible U.S. Galaxy users starting in the last week of October 2026, covering about 82 million compatible devices. Users can send USDC to compatible crypto wallets (Samsung charges no transfer fee on that path) or to bank accounts in more than 60 countries, where recipients get local currency.”
Samsung’s own statement says infrastructure and blockchain network support come from partners with the required technical capabilities, “including Solana and Sui.” Coinbase handles custody (Coinbase Prime Vault); Bastion provides the regulated stablecoin infrastructure. Both the Solana Foundation and the Sui Foundation confirmed partnerships; each focuses on its own network, while Samsung and secondary coverage list both. Sui emphasizes gasless USDC transfers (no network fee and no need to hold SUI). Solana is positioned for the cross-border remittance rail, with fiat on- and off-ramps behind the Samsung Wallet interface. USDC is the first and only stablecoin at launch.
