## @Abdulkarim2 (De UniQue 👑) · 09-13 06:05 · ♥20 ↻9 💬6 🚨 TOP 10 CRYPTO & WEB3 UPDATES FOR 13 SEPTEMBER 2026 🚨
Today’s themes: CRYPTO SECURITY, STABLECOINS, TOKENIZATION, PREDICTION MARKETS, AFRICA REGULATION, BITCOIN ETF FLOWS and BUILDER OPPORTUNITIES 👇
1. REVOLUT EXPOSES KYC AND BITCOIN TRANSACTION DATA AFTER FAKE GOVERNMENT REQUEST Revolut says a sophisticated impersonation attack caused customer information to be disclosed after an unauthorized third party submitted fraudulent information requests using an email address from a legitimate government-agency domain.
Potentially exposed data included names, addresses, identity documents, verification selfies, account statements and full transaction histories including Bitcoin transactions.
Revolut says its own systems were not breached and customer funds were unaffected, but the incident shows how attackers can exploit trusted institutions rather than attack a blockchain directly.
⚠️ The number of affected customers and the government agency involved have not been publicly disclosed.

2. RIPPLE SEES A $13T CORPORATE-TREASURY OPPORTUNITY FOR RLUSD @Ripple is looking beyond crypto-native trading for the next phase of RLUSD adoption.
Ripple's stablecoin chief says customers using Ripple Treasury process roughly $13 trillion in transactions annually, creating a potentially huge pool of corporate cash movement that could eventually connect with blockchain settlement.
RLUSD circulation has climbed to around $2.4B, while daily activity reportedly rose to roughly $750M last month, more than triple its level at the beginning of the year. Ripple is also working toward bringing RLUSD into Europe under a MiCA-compliant structure.
The bigger story: stablecoins are increasingly competing to become infrastructure for corporate treasury, settlement and capital markets, not just crypto trading.

3. ONCHAIN TOKENIZED ASSETS CLIMB TO ABOUT $346.7B The tokenization market keeps expanding. Latest @tokenterminal data puts total onchain tokenized assets at roughly $346.7 billion across more than 8,000 assets and 49 chains.
Stablecoins remain by far the biggest category at approximately $300.3B, followed by:
💰 Tokenized funds — $35.8B 🪙 Tokenized commodities — $7.4B 📈 Tokenized stocks — $3.2B
This is why tokenization is becoming one of Web3's most important institutional narratives: blockchain rails are increasingly carrying dollars, funds, commodities and equities not only native cryptoassets.

4. POLYMARKET HIRES ITS FIRST CFO AS PREDICTION MARKETS SCALE UP @Polymarket has appointed Warren Jenson as its first Chief Financial Officer.
Jenson brings decades of senior finance experience, including previous CFO roles at Amazon, Electronic Arts, Delta Air Lines and Nielsen.
The appointment comes as Polymarket pushes deeper into the regulated U.S. market and faces increasingly intense competition from Kalshi and other prediction-market platforms. Reuters reports that Polymarket and Kalshi together generated about $48.4B in August trading volume, showing just how quickly this category is moving from a crypto niche toward mainstream financial infrastructure.

5. SOUTH AFRICA OPENS PUBLIC CONSULTATION ON CROSS-BORDER CRYPTO RULES 🇿🇦🌍 The South African Reserve Bank has published a draft framework covering how cross-border crypto-asset activities should be treated under the country's financial-surveillance rules.
The proposed approach is activity-based and covers how different crypto transactions should be reported and handled.
Importantly, the SARB says the proposal is not final and does not declare crypto an official currency.
📅 Public comments remain open until 30 September 2026. For Africa, this matters because clearer cross-border rules could directly affect exchanges, stablecoin payment companies, fintechs and businesses using digital assets for international settlement.

6. U.S. BITCOIN ETFS RECORD FOUR STRAIGHT DAYS OF NET OUTFLOWS Institutional Bitcoin demand has cooled after the strong inflows seen earlier this month.
According to Farside Investors, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded net outflows on September 8, 9, 10 and 11.
The largest daily move came on September 10 with about $282.7M in net outflows, followed by another roughly $13.2M leaving the category on September 11. ETF flows don't determine Bitcoin's direction on their own, but consecutive redemptions are worth watching when assessing near-term institutional demand.
