Here is who they are and what it means:

Who is AIB? AIB Data Centers ($AIB) is a small data center developer listed on the NYSE American. They build and operate facilities made specifically for AI and high-performance computing.

- Leadership team comes from AWS, Amazon, and Vantage Data Centers - Recently closed an acquisition in Texas that brought their total contracted power to about 120 MW - Their strategy is simple: lock up power in good markets, then sign long-term deals with AI infrastructure companies to use it

The deal

- 50 MW of critical IT capacity in the southeastern US - 12-year initial term, with optional renewals - Backed by a 15-year utility agreement for 65 MW already in place, with no major grid upgrades needed - Delivered across two data halls - Used for both training and inference - @ai_canaries suspects this will come online in 2H of 27' in South Carolina.

What it means for $NBIS Nebius's Andrey Korolenko said time-to-power is the biggest constraint in AI infrastructure right now.

AIB already had the power secured, so Nebius gets capacity online faster than building from scratch.

On Q2 earnings, management said their four most recent deals were priced at $20-25M per MW.

Applying that to 50 MW, this site could generate $1B-1.25B in annual revenue starting in 2028.

Now by end of 2027 I expect that revenue per MW rate to uptick but we'll be conservative for now.
