Bitcoin is transparent by design, but that doesn’t mean every user wants their entire onchain financial activity exposed publicly.
That’s where the privacy side of strkBTC becomes interesting.
On Starknet, supported privacy features can provide shielded balances and private actions where available.
The goal is greater control over what is visible, rather than claiming that Bitcoin activity becomes completely anonymous.
For anyone using BTC onchain, protecting balances, routes and strategy from unnecessary public visibility can be an important consideration.
Privacy doesn’t remove risk. DeFi and bridge activity can involve smart contract, liquidity, bridge and market risks. Do your own research.

• Most people are still looking at ICP through the price chart. I think the bigger story is underneath it.
• In 2023, ICP went from roughly $3 to above $20 with around 300K canisters, while ckBTC was still new, ckETH was only arriving, and Caffeine, Mission 70 and most of today’s Chain Fusion infrastructure didn’t exist.
• Today there are more than 1.1M canisters, integrations with Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana, and Caffeine has already processed millions of build prompts.
• The tokenomics are changing too. Mission 70 targets gross minting falling from roughly 9.72% to 5.42%, while more network usage means more ICP burned through cycles.
- Less issuance. - More compute. - More burn. - More users.
The weak point is still adoption. DeFi TVL is only around $14M and stablecoin liquidity is still small.
But that’s exactly why I’m interested.
The network is far stronger than it was in 2023, while price is still sitting near the same area where the last major expansion began.
$10 isn’t where my thesis ends.
