August recorded 5.2B non-vote transactions, a new all-time high and roughly 19% above July. Weekly spot volume also climbed back to around $5.2B.
At the same time, positioning is heavily skewed long, with about $1.4B in long liquidation liquidity versus roughly $103M on the short side.
That tells me two things at once: activity is genuinely strong, but leverage is getting crowded.
If spot demand keeps absorbing that pressure, $SOL could stay resilient.
If not, a leverage flush could get violent very quickly.

The most successful L1s will have a clear identity and own it.
AVAX's brand has always catered to Wall Street and corporations, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. The expensive mistake was trying to do the whole memecoin and Gen Z thing when nothing about their brand or culture exuded that.
