Hold space and talk

Already pay for Claude or ChatGPT? Then Memoe is free. Same model, out of the chat window: it lives in your notch, in every app. You talk, it talks back, and it does the work.

Hold one key, from any app, and say it.

It has already read what you let it see.

It works the Mac itself. You watch.

One ordinary sentence. No list, no prompt.

Mail, calendar, messages and memory, before you finished asking.

Works the Mac. Anything that leaves waits for your yes.

In a plain file you can read. Next month it still knows.

what did I promise Marcus?

The twelfth, for the print date.

Done — the eleventh, nine in the morning.

Away: a machine of its own when the lid is shut

On every screen, in every app.

On a Mac without a notch.

Message it from wherever you are. One conversation.

A machine of its own when the lid is shut.

Same model, same quality, running on the plan you already have. Or an API key, or a model on your own Mac. Everything else is on your disk: your voice, your memory, your conversations. Requests go to the AI you chose, directly, and nothing is sent to anyone without your yes. The whole list.

Memoe · free · macOS 15 · Apple silicon

Everything is in the app — the assistant, its voice, its speech recognition, and every connector. The one thing that is not is the AI, because it is yours: a Claude or ChatGPT subscription, an API key, or a model on your own Mac. Whichever you pick, the account is yours.

Download Memoe for Mac Maybe later

It is a large download. macOS asks once the first time you open it — click Open, and that is the whole of it.

Opening Memoe for the first time

Memoe is signed and notarized by Apple. The first time you open a copy you downloaded, macOS checks it and asks once:

“Memoe” is an app downloaded from the Internet. Are you sure you want to open it?

Apple checked it for malicious software and none was detected.

Click Open. That is all of it — there is no trip to System Settings and no Privacy & Security step.

After that, Memoe asks for the things it needs as it first needs them: the microphone the first time you talk to it, and permission to control your Mac the first time you ask it to do something there. Those are macOS asking on your behalf, not warnings about Memoe — it cannot hear you or act for you until you say yes.

Memoe does a great deal already, and it is still being built. You will meet the odd bug, an edge case nobody has hit yet, a corner that is rougher than the rest.

What helps most is the thing we ask in return: tell Moe when something goes wrong. Say it out loud or type it — “that didn’t work” is enough — and it reaches us with what it needs to be fixed.

Memoe is on its way.

It is a large download, so give it a few minutes — your browser is fetching it now, and it will be in Downloads when it lands.

Open it when it arrives, and click Open when macOS asks once. The steps again
