PANews reported on October 1, citing Xinhua News Agency, that the Digital Currency International Operation Center recently announced that after the first batch of 26 financial institutions signed agreements, an additional 39 domestic and overseas financial institutions had submitted applications by the end of September to join the "Shubida" cross-border settlement integrated service platform (CBETS) as direct participants.
Since the beginning of this year, the Digital Currency International Operation Center has continued to optimize CBETS services and steadily expand the scope of cooperation, supporting both bilateral interconnection with overseas monetary authorities' payment systems and legal digital currency systems, as well as direct access by overseas financial institutions. Relying on this underlying platform, the digital yuan's cross-border services cover both trade and support cross-border movement of people.
