I've been following @bfresh since the Stonkbroker launch, and it made me realize how interesting the arbitrum ecosystem actually is. Yet its cultural moat is at ground zero: no NFT collection, very few coins people are rallying around. You could even argue TON has a stronger onchain culture.
Beyond being an infra provider, arbitrum has one big differentiator compared to Base, BNB, or Robinhood: it isn't a company's chain. Offchain Labs built it, but it's governed by a DAO, with ARB holders voting on upgrades, the treasury, and the Security Council. Dare we say one of the most successful DAOs out there?
The other difference is that ARB sits at a low market cap for a chain of its size. Think about how crazy it is that PONS could flip ARB, the token of the chain powering the chain it lives on.

I don't know if that's one man's wish or the spirit of the whole offchain team, but it got me thinking: what would a fresh flagship coin look like, one that truly represents arbitrum and is unique to it, not a ripoff of another chain's culture?
Memestocks are great, but what makes a memestock on arbitrum unique compared to the ones from robinhood or solana?
That's when the ARB pairing clicked. Pairing to ETH doesn't make sense to me, especially if you're bearish on its valuation like @santiagoroel, and especially if you believe coins should be paired with the asset meant to capture the chain's value (which, one day, is supposedly ARB).
Then there's rhubarb (more on this later), a meme based on the 1951 film about an alley cat who stayed independent and free, whether broke or rich. To me, that's exactly what arbitrum stands for: an independent chain, and freedom tech in its own way.
Rhubarb was my idea, and I'm gonna use the cat in the AI videos I enjoy creating. But an idea is nothing on its own, so I assembled a small crew of devs and creatives to turn it into reality, with my direct support and advice.
No memecoin, culture coin, or cult coin can thrive on the back of one man, though. As Murad says, a coin shows its value during the red candles and the dumps, and only time makes a distribution truly organic.
I have a vision for this meme, and if it plays out, it's an insane opportunity. I'll keep pushing it, but a free, independent cat roaming arbitrum, paired to the chain's own token, only goes the distance if the arbitrum community, current and future, makes it theirs.
We also chose to launch on uniswap v4 with our own bonding curve that burn supply at each buys instead of taking the easy v3 route. If I'm supporting such initiative, I'd rather push innovation forward.
I've done my part by putting a new character on the table for the arbitrum trenches, and I'll keep showing up for it. Rhubarb is here to push the ecosystem forward alongside OGs like @boopthecoin, not against them as some holders are trying to PvP it, but together.
Because rhubarb stacks three things: the rich-cat memetics the internet is already full of, real lore from a real film/book, and a moat no other chain can copy, since its identity is tied to arbitrum and its arb pairing.
Whether I get applauded or called a grifter will ultimately depend on the price action, and I’m okay with that. god knows I’m genuine and idc about haters (I actually do, working on it LOL). The last time I was involved with a coin was back in 2021. If I'm doing this, it's because I believe in the thesis:

there's IMMENSE opportunity to deploy a coin on @arbitrum w/ a quality product (or just a solid meme) backing it whilst being public as the founder
there's a handful of tokens getting tons of people bridging from other chains already
