Came across @twofoldfi on Robinhood Chain and decided to dig into how they handle this.
The interesting part about their liquidity setup and is that the USDG side can earn lending yield while still being used for swaps when liquidity is needed.
So you’re not choosing between lending yield and trading fees. The same liquidity can do both.
I like the idea more the more I look into it.

RH CEO @vladtenev explaining Bitstamp and literally saying they're gonna offer different products in terms of perps and Bitstamp was first in order because of regulatory stuff.
Vlad: "Well, perps on Robinhood Chain have been having a moment. I think for the last couple of days we’ve been doing over a billion in perp volume, in addition to a billion in DEX volume. We also have perps through Bitstamp, which is more CeFi, centralized."
Andy: You acquired them?
Vlad: "Yeah, we acquired them. We launched perps in Europe last year. And actually with the perps offering in the U.S., we announced last night we’re tapping into Bitstamp. So it’s one shared global liquidity pool. We’re supportive of onchain perps, offchain perps. What product we offer first depends on regulatory structure and what’s permissible. And I think we’re also open to offering multiple products. We don’t necessarily want to have one way."
