Frequently asked questions
What is included in the first Online release?
Detailed business search on the first source page, saved datasets, and CSV, Excel, and JSON exports on eligible plans. Additional source pages, email/social enrichment, standalone review/photo scraping, and paid API/MCP access are not included. Limited reviews or photos may appear within a business result; these are not complete histories or archives. Cloud access remains unavailable until the limited rollout is enabled.
Do I need to install an extension?
No. Online scraping runs in the cloud. Start with the preview on this page, then sign in to manage jobs and datasets in your Online workspace. The Chrome extension is a separate browser-based product.
Can I try the Online scraper without signing in?
When cloud scraping is available, you can make up to three accepted preview calls per UTC day, limited by both your IP address and browser identity. Each call previews at most 20 businesses. Abuse and capacity controls can deny a request before that limit.
Do I have to keep my browser open?
No. An accepted job continues in the cloud. Signed-in Online jobs and datasets remain accessible from your workspace; anonymous previews use a temporary result capability.
Can I scrape multiple keywords and export results?
Online workspace jobs support multiple keywords within your plan’s limit. CSV, Excel, and JSON exports are included on eligible paid Online plans. Anonymous previews and the Online Free plan do not include file exports.
How is Online usage counted?
Online plans count unique, server-normalized records accepted into a durable dataset. Invalid, duplicate, suppressed, and unpublished rows do not consume the record allowance. Online, Extension, and API subscriptions have separate allowances.
What happens to collected data?
Workspace datasets are saved for later use under the published retention and deletion controls. Canonical observations may remain for deduplication, provenance, safety, and lawful product operations. Use the data responsibly and review the Privacy Policy and Public Data Notice.
