PANews, September 30 - According to Jinshi Data, the US core PCE price index annual rate for August came in at 3%, edging down from the previous month and hitting its lowest level since February, versus market expectations of 3.3%. The US core PCE price index monthly rate was 0.2%, versus an expected 0.30%, with the prior reading revised from 0.20% to 0.1%.

After the US PCE data was released, spot gold rose more than $10 in a short time to $4,205 per ounce; spot silver rose $0.36 in a short time to $61.36 per ounce.
