Interestingly enough, today was barely about crypto. In the end, Vlad even mentioned that tomorrow will be about DeFi.
So are we selling now, while the stuff that actually matters still needs to come?
After all the crumbs they gave us?
No.
In fact, this dip most likely ends up being a buying opportunity.
See you tomorrow.

Let’s unpack some of the ingredients for FBTC, and why I think the ecosystem should focus heavily on FCC first.
First of all, Bitcoin is a different type of beast technically.
It uses the UTXO model, while XRP uses an account-based model.
In practice, that can change how FAssets has to interpret payments, handle change outputs, transaction fees and payment references, and prove exactly how much BTC moved from one party to another.
A lot of the FAssets logic around agents, collateral, minting, redemptions and liquidations can remain broadly the same at a high level. The Bitcoin-specific challenge is making sure every one of those flows behaves correctly and securely under UTXO rules.
That is a heavy engineering lift. And even when the engineering is progressing very well, there is still a lot between code working and a mainnet launch.
So where does FCC fit into all of this?
FCC is not a hard technical dependency for FBTC. TEEs and Protocol Managed Wallets have never been requirements for FAssets. They expand what can be built around the system. There are also things to watch around FDC v2, but that deserves its own post.
FBTC itself still needs much more than working contracts: extensive testing, painful security reviews, agents, liquidity, concrete use cases, partners, governance decisions and all the operational pieces required to support a real market.
I also would not think about this as a single mainnet launch event. Something this important needs staged testing and validation before reaching that point. I do not have a timeline to share, and I would be careful reading any Q4 expectations into what I am saying here.
But if we get all of the previous things right, I think FBTC could be massive for Flare.
Bringing BTC into a system where it can participate in DeFi without changing the underlying Bitcoin asset is one of the biggest opportunities Flare has.
So why focus so much on FCC right now?
Because the stronger the rest of the stack becomes, the more valuable assets like FBTC become when they arrive.
XRPFi has already been a good example of this.
We have been building markets and applications around XRP while also contributing infrastructure and new functionality back to the XRP ecosystem. That creates trust, usage and reasons for people to bring assets onto Flare.
FCC adds another major piece: verifiable compute and privacy. Flare Smart Accounts can simplify how users interact with applications. FAssets brings assets from chains without smart contracts. Put those capabilities together and Flare has a stack that can support use cases very few ecosystems can offer in one place.
FCC is getting close to mainnet, and launching something this ambitious without meaningful applications around it would leave a lot of value on the table.
Fortunately, there is already serious work underway with institutional partners, and some of it should start seeing the light very soon. At the same time, ecosystem builders are already testing applications that would have been difficult to build before. Some of the Summer Signal projects are good examples of where this can go.
My view is that these pieces should mature together. Prove FCC with real applications, keep pushing the Bitcoin-specific FAssets work forward, while deepen liquidity and partnerships, and make sure the infrastructure is ready before opening the gates.
There is a lot to get right, but the opportunity here is massive!
I hope that makes sense, and as always, follow the official Flare account for announcements and timelines. This is just my personal view on how the pieces fit together. > 引用 @XRPapiCrypto: Grok assisted "wen $FBTC" to do list prior to mainnet launch. 👇🏽
Get BTC mint/redeem working end to end on Coston/Coston2: agents, vaults, FDC proofs for Bitcoin payments, FTSO prices.
Put it on Songbird with a cap, real agents, real incentives, and let it sit for weeks. Canary first, mainnet later.
Ship FCC. TEEs + Protocol Managed Wallets are what make BTC usable without dumping every institutional flow on a public ledger.
Finish FDC v2 so Bitcoin proofs come on demand, not in slow batches.
Audit the whole stack: FAssets BTC contracts, agent software, Core Vault, FCC signing.
Get agents capitalized. They need BTC backing plus vault collateral, plus liquidators and challengers ready to police it.
Stand up the Bitcoin Core Vault. Multisig on BTC, governance-controlled, so agents can park coins and redemptions don’t depend on one wallet.
Wallets and liquidity have to be there on day one. People need a way to send BTC and receive FBTC, and DeFi needs stables to actually use it.
Governance deploys the FBTC AssetManager, token goes in the registry, minting opens behind a small cap.
Measure twice cut once. Getting FBTC on mainnet will take some time and that's ok.

## @pitown89 (Pi Town) · 09-29 23:20 · ♥85 ↻11 💬2 Pi appears on the traditional stock exchange:
Normally, to own Pi, people have to mine it on their phones or trade it through a crypto wallet or crypto exchange.
Now, investors in Sweden and Europe can buy a listed security (called an ETP) that tracks the price of Pi directly in their brokerage account, with no need to create a wallet or hold cryptographic keys.
The financial firm backing it:
To sell this security to investors, Valour/DeFi Technologies steps in and holds Pi as underlying collateral.
Credibility and media exposure:
This event shows that Pi Network is starting to attract the attention of traditional financial institutions and is being included in publicly traded investment products.
💥The SEC has not recognized or approved Pi Network:
The SEC merely receives public filings from DeFi Technologies (as the company is listed on a U.S. exchange). The SEC has not issued any document "confirming Pi's credibility" or "licensing Pi."
💥Pi Network is not listed on a U.S. stock exchange:
It is an intermediary financial firm that created a security tracking the price of Pi; the Pi Core Team itself has not listed on the stock exchange. https://x.com/pitown89/status/2105075232784740375

That work is already visible on @base, with the S&P 500 onchain.
As more financial products move onchain and become usable in DeFi, the line between TradFi and DeFi starts to blur. It all becomes finance. > 引用 @base: We sat down with @itsbhaji, CEO of @centrifuge

## @Chronos_LS (Chronos) · 09-29 20:55 · ♥74 ↻7 💬3 Rapport du jour ! #KHDR
> 引用 @Chronos_LS: Update du jour #KHDR
<3 https://x.com/Chronos_LS/status/2105038773947879646
