# HBM demand — X 热门讨论 (2026-09-27 08:40 UTC)
## @The_AI_Investor (The AI Investor) · 09-27 03:04 · ♥33 ↻3 💬3 Samsung is about to report the biggest quarter in its history. Analysts now expect Q3 operating profit of 106T to 110T won, per Aju Press on Sept 27 KST. For perspective, Samsung earned 43.6T won in all of last year, so one quarter would be nearly two and a half times the entire 2025. No quarter has ever crossed 100T before.
The driver is memory, plain and simple. TrendForce estimates Q3 DRAM and NAND prices rose about 10% to the mid high teens from Q2. That pace is slower than Q2's roughly 60% spike, but AI demand is strong enough that prices kept climbing. Since chipmakers' costs barely move when prices rise, the DS division's operating margin could reach the mid 70% range, with DRAM alone above 80%. HBM4 is adding to it: Samsung's HBM market share jumped to 33% in Q2.
Everything else lags. Foundry and System LSI are still expected to lose about 1T won combined. So this record quarter is a memory story, full stop. Industry sources expect the tight supply to last at least into 2028. https://x.com/The_AI_Investor/status/2104044508170358874
