Listen, I know a lot of people are frustrated with the trenches on Base.
Some think they don’t do enough. There’s no culture. They don’t support the right people.
There’s some truth to those criticisms.
But there’s another side that deserves recognition too: Base is putting resources behind builders and creators who consistently show up and contribute to the ecosystem.
That matters. I don’t see Robinhood awarding grants or Arbitrum or Avax
But don’t expect it to come easy, and don’t feel entitled to anything. You have to show up consistently and put in the work.
Even though I’ve expanded my brand to cover every ecosystem, I’ll always do what I can to support Base and highlight the builders creating interesting things there.
Base isn’t perfect.
But things like these grants are a reminder of why builders and creators continue to choose to build on @base.

You have to ask yourself, launchpads perform best when you have the launchpad coin paired against the launch.
It financializes the platform coin much like ETH pairs did for Ethereum and SOL pairs did for Solana.
A successful token that does this, starts to be valued more like an L1 than a launchpad coin.
