Recall announced for potato chips sold in Ky. grocery stores

KENTUCKY (WKYT) - A recall was issued for a brand of potato chips sold for a possible allergen in several states, including Kentucky, according to the Lexington Herald-Leader.

The Herald-Leader says J. Higgs 7.75-ounce loaded bacon and cheddar potato chips were recalled on Sept. 18 due to possible undeclared soy allergens.

The chips, with a bar code of 0-51933-31645-4 and best by dates of Dec. 11 and Dec. 18. were distributed to Save A Lot grocery stores, the Herald-Leader says.

The Lexington area has many Save A Lot locations:

- 1235 N Broadway, Lexington

- 2189 Versailles Rd., Lexington

- 701 Edgewood Dr., Nicholasville

- 480 Lexington Rd., Versailles

- 217 N Broadway St., Georgetown
