PANews reported on October 2 that, according to a Castle Labs report, the share of on-chain perpetual DEXs in global perpetual trading volume has risen from 0.11% in January 2023 to 12.33% in September 2026. Meanwhile, on-chain RWA perpetuals are growing rapidly, covering traditional assets such as stocks, commodities and Pre-IPO, with monthly trading volume once reaching approximately $147.5 billion in July 2026, accounting for 19.6% of that month's on-chain perpetual trading volume. As of September 24, total open interest on Perp DEXs was approximately $14.64 billion, of which Hyperliquid accounted for approximately $8.32 billion, or 56.8%, Aster 9.7%, and Variational 6.2%.
