PANews reported on October 1 that NEAR Intents said its service was temporarily suspended due to a security incident, with preliminary reports showing a loss of about $3.8 million, and the affected funds will be fully compensated. The incident stemmed from a vulnerability in the interaction between Omni's deposit/withdrawal infrastructure and the NEAR Intents smart contract. The contract-side vulnerability has now been fixed, and NEAR Intents and near.com are expected to resume within about one hour.
Deposits and withdrawals on some networks, including BSC, Polygon, TON, Optimism, and Avalanche, will remain suspended for about 12 hours. The incident has been reported to law enforcement, and the team is tracking and attempting to recover the affected funds.
