Each round, step by step
- 1Two outlines share a blueprint. The left one is your yardstick, labelled with its measured size.
- 2Drag the corner of the right one, or slide along the ruler beneath the board, until you trust your guess.
- 3Press Lock it in. The shape then stretches or shrinks to its measured size, leaving a dashed outline where you guessed.
- 4Land within 5% for full marks. Miss by 4 times, too big or too small, and the round scores nothing.

What kind of game is Size It Up?
In Size It Up, your eye does the measuring. Each round puts an outline of something, a T. rex, the Titanic, Jupiter, next to a yardstick you can picture, and you stretch the outline to the size you believe. Then the game checks your guess against the measured figure, and you can start another run straight away.
Is this the game from ohnePixel's streams?
Yes, the scale game ohnePixel played on stream is this one: an outline next to a known yardstick, stretched to a hunch, then the reveal. This version never runs out, so the runs carry on after the stream does. It is free and plays in the browser.
What changes in Size It Up Unlimited compared with the once-a-day original?
The original hands out five comparisons a day, then makes you wait for tomorrow. Size It Up Unlimited is Daily's own take, with its own outlines, figures and scoring. Every run deals 5 fresh pairs from 1,932 things, as often as you like, mixing places, animals, dinosaurs, vehicles, buildings and planets.
How is a guess scored?
As a ratio, not a gap: guessing double and guessing half score identically. Land within 5% for a perfect 100. Miss by 4 times either way and it scores 0. Later rounds are tougher and pay more, ×1, ×1, ×2, ×3 and ×3, for 1,000 in a flawless run.
Is it free, and is there anything to download?
Free, no download, no account. Size It Up Unlimited plays in the browser on a phone, tablet or computer, so there is no app store listing to hunt for.
Why is it called Size It Up?
To size something up is to look it over and judge it, and taken literally, to judge its dimensions by eye. The game holds you to the literal reading: you size up an outline next to a yardstick, commit to your judgment, and find out how accurate your eye was.
Which figures are the sizes based on?
Published ones: a typical adult for an animal, the documented figure for a named landmark or vehicle, and the measured area for a country, state or lake. Each one was estimated twice, independently, and dropped if the two disagreed. The outlines are public-domain drawings and our own illustrations, and the places come from Natural Earth map data.
Any tips for judging scale by eye?
Anchor on the yardstick, not the drawing. Count how many yardsticks would fit along the thing, then check the other direction. Most people flatten the extremes, guessing huge things too small and tiny things too big, so if a guess already feels enormous for a whale or minuscule for a beetle, push it further.
What counts as a good score?
A run is out of 1,000. Stay within half again of every measured figure and you clear half of that. A run over 800 means you were within about 15% on nearly every round. Your best run stays on your own device.
