# "GPU demand" — X 热门讨论 (2026-09-29 12:35 UTC)

## @TheBigBerbowski (TheBigBerbowski) · 09-29 11:30 · ♥37 ↻0 💬2 One of the most important takeaways from the latest $NBIS interview at Fellows Forum: Nebius does not plan to build its future around hyperscalers.

Management described the Microsoft deal as a unique opportunity that provided scale and helped finance the buildout, but said they do not expect to repeat that type of transaction.

The long-term strategy is to sell directly to AI builders and compete with AWS, Azure and GCP rather than depend on them.

A few notable comments:

- Nebius says it is already winning workloads directly against hyperscalers - For every GPU available today, it has roughly 4 customers ready to sign - Customers are already seeking commitments for tens of thousands of GPUs into next year - Management sees reasonable visibility into tight GPU demand for roughly another 18 months - Demand is not currently the constraint — capital to fund capacity expansion is - Inference is the fastest-growing part of the business and is already on a path toward becoming a $1B business - Longer term, Nebius wants to evolve from selling compute into a broader AI “intelligence platform”

The Microsoft contract helped accelerate the buildout. The thesis from here is whether Nebius can use that scale to build an independent AI cloud business rather than remain a capacity supplier to hyperscalers. https://x.com/TheBigBerbowski/status/2104896475670962678
