that's the balance i think @Americanfort_io is trying to get right with FortressName and Send to Name
the way i understand it, the name becomes the simple part of receiving crypto, while the address used for each payment can change
you share one human readable name
the payment resolves to a fresh stealth address
and the recipient can still access the payment through a compatible wallet
that separation is important to me
a name people can remember shouldn't have to become a permanent link to every payment someone receives
the setup is non custodial and doesn't rely on mixers or pooled funds
there's another layer to the work too
Americanfort's Provenance Proofs, or ZKPoSP, are designed to prove that addresses across different chains come from the same hidden seed without revealing the seed itself
that could be useful for:
• bridges
• custody
• key rotation
i also think it's worth separating what is available now from what is still being developed
the macOS beta wallet is live, with support for:
• Ethereum and ERC-20 assets
• USDT and USDC
• Bitcoin
• Litecoin
• 0G
mobile isn't publicly available yet, and SafeSend remains in development
for me, the bigger idea is the separation between having a usable identity and exposing a permanent financial trail
people should be able to share a name to receive crypto without automatically giving everyone a straightforward way to follow their wallet history
that's the kind of distinction that could make crypto identity more practical for everyday use

It's a perfect example of a project being ahead of its time.
I invested in it during its ICO back in 2019. Nobody even understood what AI agents were back then. Let alone see why it can be useful in combination with blockchain technology.
But @HMsheikh4 (co-founder & CEO) and Toby Simpson (co-founder & ex-COO) knew from day 1 what they were doing. They were also involved in Deepmind, what later got acquired by Google (& solved the protein folding problem). Deepmind was also ahead of its time with AI.
