Today, I opened @tryquantio and asked one question : Are there any examples of tokens that bounced back to dominate the market after dropping 90%?
It gave me something I didn't expect real historical context, not just price.
5 tokens that dropped 90%+ and still came back to dominate:
1. $BTC: $32 → $2 in 2011 (-93%) → then $1,100+ next cycle.
2. $ETH: $1,420 → $82 in 2018 (-94%) → then $4,890 in 2021 leading DeFi/NFTs.
3. $SOL: $260 → $8 in 2022 (-97%) → reclaimed top volume through DeFi + memecoins.
4. $ADA: $1.33 → $0.02 in 2018-2020 (-98%) → back to $3.10 ATH, top 5.
5. $DOGE: -90% to -95% multiple times → became dominant memecoin in 2021.
Then I follow-up "Why did they recover?"
Quant AI broke it down to 3 drivers: 1. Active development & user base even when price was dead 2. Drawdowns were macro liquidity flushes, not protocol failure 3. Network effects brand + ecosystem that retained trust
