## @weakinstrument (Ryan Cummings) · 09-25 14:49 · ♥37 ↻14 💬8 Me+@econJaredB are out w/ a new piece examining how much revenue is needed to justify hyperscaler AI capex. We estimate that incremental AI revenue is currently b/n $86-$188.1B for the hyperscalers, but they need $13.1-$18.7 *trillion* over the next decade for that to pencil out. https://t.co/h1INfoA7j5 https://x.com/weakinstrument/status/2103497206351499750

## @GlobalMktObserv (Global Markets Investor) · 09-25 18:25 · ♥35 ↻9 💬7 ‼️THIS IS MIND-BLOWING:

Wall Street analysts estimate that Alphabet, Amazon, Meta, Microsoft and Oracle will spend a combined $4.2 trillion on capital expenditures through 2029.

AI CapEx is expected to surpass $1 trillion for the first time in 2027.

At the same time, an increasingly large portion of that investment is being funded through debt.

What happens if the AI 'boom' suddenly reverses? https://x.com/GlobalMktObserv/status/2103551463578357853
