But the points aren’t the interesting part.
ONyc is a Solana RWA token backed by a Bermuda-regulated reinsurance pool. Capital sits in a segregated account and is used to underwrite short-duration insurance risk. The NAV moves with premiums earned and claims paid.
Exponent is now turning that underlying yield into different markets:
• ONyc limit orders → 8x OnRe Points + share of $9K rewards • srONyc limit orders → 3x Points • srONyc LP → trading fees + 4x Points + share of $4K rewards
Together, the current incentives advertise up to ~80% APY until Oct 23.
But don’t confuse the incentive APY with the underlying yield.
The more interesting piece is srONyc.
It’s the senior tranche, meaning it gets paid before the junior side and has protection against losses from the underlying reinsurance exposure.
So you’re not just farming another token...
You’re taking real insurance cash flows, splitting them into different risk layers, and making those layers tradable onchain.
The points will eventually end.
The real question is what ONyc’s underwriting yield looks like when the incentives disappear.

what stood out to me is that they are not tokenizing ships or offering fractional vessel ownership.
they are focusing on maritime private credit, specifically short duration receivables from existing shipping contracts.
