PANews reported on October 8 that newly disclosed financial filings show U.S. President Donald Trump completed more than 500 securities trades in August. One of them was a purchase of up to $25 million in Meta stock; two days before signing a comprehensive policy aimed at expanding U.S. commercial space transportation, he also invested up to $5 million in SpaceX debt products.

Media analysis of Trump's August financial disclosure shows that the 517 buy and sell transactions totaled roughly $74.3 million to $273.3 million. Media estimates put purchases at at least $44.2 million and sales at at least $30.1 million.

The 18-page filing shows Trump's portfolio trading remains very active, though the frequency declined compared with June and July, when he disclosed more than 1,000 trades each month.

The largest single transaction took place on August 21, when Trump bought $5 million to $25 million worth of Meta stock and also carried out a broad rebalancing of his portfolio that day. The filing shows that on the same day he separately bought shares of AT&T, ConocoPhillips, Abbott Laboratories, Netflix and Chevron, with each purchase ranging from $1 million to $5 million.

On the sell side, on August 21 Trump sold shares of AMD and Church & Dwight, with each sale ranging from $1 million to $5 million; he also reduced his holdings in Boeing, Home Depot, T-Mobile, Datadog, Dell Technologies, Palo Alto Networks and Nvidia, among others, with each reduction ranging from $500,010 to $1 million.
