The Fed decision and the CLARITY Act.
Everything else is secondary for now.
The CLARITY Act failed to reach the 60 votes needed for Senate cloture, triggering another wave of selling across BTC, ETH, SOL and especially XRP.
But the bigger question is whether the market overreacted to a procedural setback.
Regulatory progress is still happening through initiatives like the SEC’s Project Crypto, while the House Strategic Bitcoin Reserve discussion remains on the calendar.
Then there’s the Fed.
Markets are watching the rate decision, Powell’s press conference and the tone of the updated projections.
A hike with hawkish guidance could keep pressure on risk assets.
A hike paired with a more dovish Powell could create a very different reaction.
BTC is now hovering around the $75K–$76K area, with $75K becoming an important level to watch after yesterday’s dip.
Meanwhile, the market is showing an interesting split:
Majors are under pressure, but parts of GameFi and smaller sectors are still moving.
Institutional flows are also worth watching, with recent discussion around Bitcoin ETF outflows versus Ethereum inflows and treasury buying.
That may point to rotation rather than a complete exit from crypto.
