Some of these coins were quite simply, a cycle too early for their REAL MOVE.
We weren’t ready for ACTUALLY tokenizing the world last cycle,
It was just a concept.

Typically when the market heats up, traders search for low/mid caps.
It's a good strat, however in crypto - big money always goes into things that are HOT or have "been" HOT.
The more money something has in it, likelihood is, more money will continue to flow into it.
It's basic human psychology, people follow winners/leaders.
You'd often think it's the opposite, as low/mid caps are more attractive [the upside is meant to be perceivably "higher" - but that's not always true].
There's a reason why BTC almost outperformed everything else last cycle and it's also why ZEC/HYPE are continuing to outperform right now.
That being said,
Last cycle we did see things like XRP, ADA, LINK and other "dino" coins pump BIGLY and it caught most people off guard.
Every cycle, people forget about last cycle outperformers and focus on only new things.
Anything that isn't "fresh" from the current cycle, it tends to get overlooked.
SOL last cycle did very well, but it wasn't new - it existed and performed well the previous cycle too.
There are opportunities right now for you to locate coins such as "SUI" [that did incredibly well last cycle] and ride easy longs when respected levels are breached.
For example, SUI above $1 = you know it's a coin that didn't die off in the bear, did well in the last bull market, has enormous potential to continue performing well this cycle also [VC backings/didn't get crushed w/ unlocks w/ more unlocks remaining, incentives remain high for MMs to keep it doing well etc.]
Same with ONDO as you're seeing them continue to build partnerships and grow the company [BlackRock collab] etc. etc.
These sort of coins are stress-free AFKable buys and chances are, they'll outperform 99% of the dogshit you'll find being launched.
Don't fall for the "new shiny coin" LARP.
Buy things that have a track record of winning.
