Crypto built 24/7 money before we had 24/7 workers.

Now we have both.

And I think that's where the agent economy starts getting interesting.

AI agents don't sleep, don't care about banking hours and shouldn't need a human clicking “approve payment” every time they want to buy something.

If an agent needs data, research, compute or another specialized service at 4AM, the ideal flow is pretty simple:

❯ find the right provider ❯ agree on the job + price ❯ lock stablecoins in escrow ❯ receive + verify the work ❯ settle automatically

No invoice. No bank. No waiting for Monday.

This is the part of AACP from @termix_ai that makes sense beyond all the “AI agents will change everything” talk.

Stablecoins already gave us programmable money.

AACP is trying to give agents programmable commerce around that money: jobs, escrow, verification and settlement.

Humans might have built stablecoins.

But machines could end up being some of their most natural users.

24/7 workers need 24/7 money.

## @mrstephendeng (Stephen Deng) · 09-18 18:19 · ♥43 ↻7 💬3 After several conversations lately about what the next-gen of Africa's tech narrative might look like, one concept I'm circling around is that of "organic optimism."

It has a few features:

1. Builders who aren't just reflecting the ambition of other ecosystems to help investors pattern-match. (though some of this is good)

2. Builders who define their conviction around where value is getting dislodged and re-aggregated in Africa by frontier tech: AI, stablecoins, hardware, etc. and their secondary effects.

3. Builders who place their mission in societal as well as economic terms; to be clear-eyed about the socio-political trends they must align with or otherwise contend with. (industrial infra, geopol sensitivity, regulatory frontier, etc.)

4. Builders who leverage legacy industries, networks, and knowledge, without being consumed by their proximity to power and hesitancy for risk.

5. Builders who sell the continent through the excellence of their companies rather than sell their companies through the (outdated) narratives of the continent. https://x.com/mrstephendeng/status/2101013330836226291

I spent 6 months watching stablecoins sit in my exchange wallet earning 0%. Then I got the @MEXC Card; currently earning 7% APR on my USDT with cashback.

Here's what actually changed. 🧵 https://t.co/HGiBvH4eCj https://x.com/rexcarlson22/status/2101065286455620071
