PANews, October 9 — According to an official announcement from Anthropic, the company has updated its usage policy, adding a clause prohibiting "sustained and gratuitous abuse or cruelty" toward Claude, stating that it applies only to extreme cases and does not cover normal dissatisfaction, rebuttals, dark-themed creative works, or model testing. In addition, the new policy changes the elections section to "must not undermine democratic processes" and adds clauses prohibiting deceptive propaganda and fraudulent activities, weapons guidance software, and tracking individuals without consent, effective November 12.
