## @OMOREYY___ (Joe | ZEX 🔶) · 09-26 16:59 · ♥92 ↻89 💬10 I think I finally understand what bothered me about most “Bitcoin onchain” narratives.

They usually stop at getting BTC there.

But that was never the interesting part for me.

I wanted to know what happens after.

That’s where @Starknet started making more sense.

strkBTC gives BTC a way into Starknet, but the ecosystem around it is what changes the picture.

I can move from holding BTC to actually interacting with DeFi, swapping, lending, staking and exploring different ways to put that capital to work.

And then I found the privacy side.

STRK20 is being built around the idea that privacy shouldn't mean moving into a completely separate ecosystem.

You can have private DeFi activity while still interacting with applications already being built on Starknet.

That distinction caught me.

The goal isn't simply to make Bitcoin “DeFi-compatible.”

It’s making BTC feel like an asset I can actually use onchain, while giving me more control over what parts of that activity are exposed.

That feels like the more important conversation. > 引用 @OMOREYY___: I thought the interesting part of @starknet privacy was hiding my BTC balance.

Apparently, that was the easy part.

At first, I was thinking about one simple question:

How do I actually use my BTC onchain without selling it?

That led me to strkBTC: https://t.co/b5QTRjsFxB

Then I found shielding.

Then private swaps through @EkuboProtocol: https://t.co/HJCK4ggj10

But now I'm starting to see that the bigger idea isn't just private Bitcoin.

It's what happens when privacy becomes something applications can actually build around.

Take AI agents for example.

If an agent is going to move money on my behalf, I don't just want the transaction to be private.

I also need to know that it actually followed the instructions I gave it.

Because “trust me bro, the AI handled it” probably isn't the financial infrastructure we want. 😂

That's where @Chance_ caught my attention.

Chance checks an agent's proposed transaction against the mandate the user gave it before execution: https://t.co/CnGiod4ATR

So the interesting relationship becomes:

STRK20 → keeps the transaction private.

Chance → verifies that the action followed the user's intent.

And that made me look at Starknet differently.

Because privacy doesn't have to be a separate destination.

It can sit underneath swaps, DeFi, payments and eventually autonomous agents.

Even the ecosystem around it is starting to look more substantial than I initially assumed.

When I checked the current numbers, Starknet was sitting around $158M in DeFi TVL, with @EkuboProtocol around $22.5M, @vesuxyz around $12.8M and @endurfi around $8.6M.

I checked those numbers here: https://t.co/SmskfnYP36

I'm not taking those numbers as proof that everything is already mature.

I'm looking at them as a signal that there's actually something being built underneath the privacy narrative.

And honestly, that's the part I want to dig into next.

Because I haven't even gotten to the really technical part of how STRK20 actually works yet.

That's probably the next rabbit hole:

Using strkBTC and DeFi involves smart contract, bridge, liquidity and market risks. Returns aren't guaranteed. Do your own research and only use products you understand. https://x.com/OMOREYY___/status/2103892108960579995

## @BankQuote (BaN𐤊ℚuOτE) · 09-26 15:17 · ♥73 ↻26 💬1 Zcash may have accidentally provided one of the clearest templates for understanding Kaspa’s current position.

ZEC did not suddenly become technically legitimate in 2026. The protocol had existed for years. What changed was the market infrastructure surrounding it. Privacy became a dominant narrative, institutional accumulation appeared, derivatives activity exploded, an ETF opened regulated access, and billions in liquidity suddenly had a much easier path into an asset that the market had largely ignored.

Kaspa may have an even more interesting mismatch between technological maturity and financial accessibility.

Toccata is already live. Kaspa now has native covenants, ZK verification, sequencing infrastructure and SilverScript. vProgs is being developed to move complex application execution outside the consensus-critical path while settling verifiable results back to Kaspa. DAGKnight remains the longer-term consensus evolution. Underneath all of this sits a fair-launched proof-of-work monetary asset with no ICO, premine or VC allocation constantly waiting to unlock.

Yet the financial layer surrounding KAS still looks disproportionately small.

There is still no Coinbase spot market. Binance spot access remains an obvious missing piece. There is no US-listed KAS investment product comparable to what Zcash now has. Kaspa-native stablecoin liquidity, institutional products, application-driven demand and mature DeFi infrastructure are still extremely early relative to what the protocol itself can now support.

That is the important part.

Kaspa does not necessarily need some revolutionary new consensus breakthrough to create the next liquidity event. The technology may increasingly be ahead of the market infrastructure connecting capital to it.

One major exchange removes friction. Stablecoins create deeper on-chain markets. Applications create transactional demand. Institutional products create regulated access. vProgs create entirely new application categories.

Then those catalysts can compound.

Zcash showed what happens when an old asset suddenly receives new liquidity rails.

Kaspa’s difference is that the asset itself is simultaneously becoming substantially more useful. https://x.com/BankQuote/status/2103866466541977852

Le défi est lancé 🔥 https://x.com/RDCZONE243/status/2103846366099222764

## @dotkrueger (Fred Krueger) · 09-26 16:54 · ♥75 ↻1 💬16 Bottom line;

- AI is massively bidding up the cost of power and capital - This is extremely bad for the average person. Your job is at risk and your electricity bill is likely to double.

Interest rates will skyrocket. Savers will move out of banks and into defi and other instruments (like STRC) Bad for stocks and bonds

Great for gold and bitcoin. 2026 = 1976 but with debt/gdp at 120
