That’s normal because the only real options before were handing BTC to an exchange, or moving it somewhere onchain where every balance and move is public.
There’s a third option now. BTC can move onto @Starknet as strkBTC and stay fully in your control the whole time.
You also get to decide what’s visible. You can shield a balance so its movements aren’t shown publicly, or leave it open. That’s a choice per balance, not one setting for everything.
Instead of sitting untouched, it can be put to work through supported DeFi apps on Starknet, and it stays only as visible as you choose.
